It’s the lovely, summer-time, of outdoor shows and events – and we are busy with customers who’ve just realised that they need a fully branded stand, banner-ups, banners, flags and stickers – all in five days time!
But if exhibitors tend to a bit late remembering they need to get ready for and event (particularly when they booked a year ago!), show organisers themselves could sometimes do with a nudge.
Headline grabbing shows – in the West Midlands that means Hay Literary Festival, Ludlow Food Festival or agricultural/horticultural events at The Three Counties Showground, Malvern – have well-worn routines which start almost before stands are dismantled.
But medium and small-sized events (often with volunteer committees) tend to overlook the planning of publicity – despite the fact it is crucial to success.
flags: hot right now for attracting attention – and ours are designed for the British weather!
To help, we’ve prepared a “TOP TIPS” sheet – just A4 size, with the nitty-gritty to make a difference, which is available free from email@example.com. If you can’t manage that, here’s the edited version:
* Make people aware
* Remind people to come
* Keep stallholders & visitors happy
* Keep your insurance company happy
* Encourage stallholders & visitors to return next year
* Protect your investment & the planet
Leominster festival picked a sheep theme to brand their 2013 festival and carried it through very well: sheep-themed events, competitions and images, to celebrate a sheep-themed sculpture being planned for the town. Sign-Rite contributed these realistic Ryelands, who appeared (and disappeared!) around Leominster Enterprise Park.
We passionately believe the right signage products – starting with good design and branding, adding in a healthy dollop of practical suggestions, and the benefit of our 27 years of experience – are part of the package which makes a show or event a success.
